Supply Chain Analyst (Production Planning / Material Planning / Inventory Control)

Responsibilities

As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will use analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes by assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations to support SCM planning and manufacturing operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing data management tools to mine, organize and present data to enhance the decision making for supply chain personnel, under direct supervision of our Sr. Manager of Planning and Inventory Management.

Specific duties for this supply chain operations role include:

  • Studying the movement of goods through a supply chain in order to identify gaps in efficiency and opportunities for continuous improvement

  • Documenting and monitoring supply/demand requirements and reporting performance to those plans

  • Developing manual decision making tools and business processes that ease migration to new ERP System

  • Building and developing relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure supply chain strategies support overall corporate objectives while meeting customer requirements

  • Engaging area experts to expedite activities, when necessary, to maintain service levels optimal inventory levels

  • Ensuring that work is complete, accurate, and reliable

  • Providing support and analysis to Operations group for project management with the objective of maintaining supply continuity

  • Continuously improving and automating planning and forecasting processes

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with members

  • Establishing and managing inventory targets to fill/back order rates

Supply Chain Analyst (Production Planning / Material Planning / Inventory Control)

Qualifications

We are looking for a Supply Chain Analyst who combines advanced analytical and decision-making abilities with expertise or education in both supply chain and operations management. You should also be highly organized to work with minimal supervision while managing multiple projects simultaneously. It is important that you display excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency and collaboration.

Specific qualifications for this inventory control management role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • College graduates with SCM, Manufacturing Operations or Engineering Degrees would be considered in lieu of SCM experience.

  • Ability to develop a positive culture that promotes engagement while maintaining an appropriate balance with respect to accountability

  • Solid computer skills with proficiency in MS Office products

  • Advanced mathematical skills

  • APICS-CPIM certification, preferred
