Manufacturing Specialist - Manufacturing Technician - (Manufacturing Production )

Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting Manufacturing Activities at the Norcross Facility. This includes Manufacturing documentation review, ERP transactions, and inventory reconciliation. This may include inspection of components for use in manufacturing of medical device and/or reagents.

Additional responsibilities for this role include:

  • Performs review manufacturing records for Good Manufacturing Practices and ensures the record is compliant.

  • Performs ERP entries and data entry support, as needed. ERP entries include Production Orders, Material Transfers, creation and revisions to Bill Of Materials and routings for manufactured items.

  • Records and maintains document tracker metrics. Inputs errors daily for monthly report to measure manufacturing departmental outputs and effectiveness.

  • Assists with special projects and other duties as assigned.

  • Actively involved in daily operations to meet production schedules.

  • Scans and routes manufacturing records to the appropriate areas.

  • Clearly communicates issues to management and facilitate corrections to appropriate manufacturing area.

  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills related to priorities and workload.

  • Maintains knowledge of all SOPs and changes to specifications related to areas of responsibilities.

  • May scan components and products at various stages of manufacturing into inventory.

  • May perform walkthroughs of manufacturing areas to ensure readiness of the manufacturing area prior to startup of production.

  • May be required to be on the production floor and present to provide real-time release of components for use.

  • Follows OSHA regulations and cGMP regulations (i.e. Chemical hazards and blood borne pathogens).

  • Understands FDA and ISOs standards applicable to the department and consequences of nonconformance.

  • Interacts cooperatively with coworkers, supervisors, and/or managers of other departments, and follows the Immucor RITA values at all times.

  • Must be able to work irregular hours as necessary to meet production schedule deadlines.

Manufacturing Specialist - Manufacturing Technician - (Manufacturing Production )

Qualifications

We are looking for an individual with a strong work ethic and experience working in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate can interact cooperatively with coworkers, supervisors, or managers of other departments and receive direction well from superiors. As Manufacturing Specialist, you must be able to work irregular hours as necessary to meet production schedule deadlines.

Additional requirements for this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Familiarity with ERP system (LN a plus).

  • Must have Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Performance environment.

  • Required manufacturing record review experience.

  • Must be able to read and understand manufacturing records and have good mathematical skills.

  • Good Communication skills verbally and written in English.

  • Experience with Microsoft office (MS Word, MS Excel).

  • Availability to work extended shifts and off-shift(weekends if needed)

  • Demonstrated ability to work well among diverse backgrounds and follow Immucor RITA values.

  • Must be able to work within an evolving environment. Must be able to accept change to the work schedule on a daily basis.
